Emily is an international award winning designer based in New Zealand, designing intuitive, inclusive experiences across digital and print mediums.

Accessibility, diversity and inclusive experiences are at the heart every project. She loves to build strong relationships and bring people together.

Currently, Emily is a Visual Designer for Combo, the internal design agency at Meridian Energy. She works seamlessly across print & digital visual design with focus on creating inclusive, accessible experiences.

With over 15 years experience in grassroots brand development and creative design, Emily has hands on experience with many aspects of design. Her passion is to create simple, authentic experiences that are a delight to interact with.

Emily’s career started when she was two years old when Emily’s family set up knitwear company Snowy Peak. Fast forward to 2000, Emily had a Bachelor of Design (Fashion), and a Master of Arts (Performance Sportswear Design) under her belt when she returned from designing in Europe to join the family business as Design Director for Untouched World. Emily was responsible for the overall aesthetics of the brand, from the collections, to the branding, to the catalogues, advertisements, point of sale and the website design. While at Untouched World she collaborated with leading Japanese fashion designer Yu Homma, and Cameron Silver, listed in ‘Time’ magazine as one of the world’s 25 most influential people in fashion.

In 2010, with a small child & one on the way, she started Designed by Emily – a digital design studio specialising in bringing beautiful design to small to medium businesses. In 2014 she joined the team at Meridian, one of New Zealand’s largest companies.
