I am a visual designer for Meridian Energy working seamlessly across print & digital visual design for our talented marketing team.
With over 15 years experience in grassroots brand development and creative design, I have hands on experience with many aspects of design. My passion is to create simple, authentic experiences that are a delight to interact with.
My career started when I was two years old when my family set up knitwear company Snowy Peak, it was a huge part of our lives right from the beginning. Fast forward to 2000, I had a Bachelor of Design (Fashion), a Master of Arts (Performance Sportswear Design) under my belt when I returned from designing in Europe to join the family business as Design Director for Untouched World. I was responsible for the overall aesthetics of the brand, from the collections, to the branding, to the catalogues, advertisements, point of sale and the website design. While at Untouched World I collaborated with leading Japanese fashion designer Yu Homma, and Cameron Silver, listed in ‘Time’ magazine as one of the world’s 25 most influential people in fashion.
In 2010, with a small child & one on the way, I started Designed by Emily – a digital design studio specialising in bringing beautiful design to small to medium businesses. In 2014 I joined the team at Meridian, one of New Zealand’s largest companies.
